King’s Resort Reopens: Europe’s Largest Poker Room Back in Action

★☆☆☆☆

(User Rating 1/5)

King’s Resort—home to the biggest poker room in Europe—has officially reopened its doors after a two-month shutdown due to COVID-19. Located in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, the property is once again welcoming poker players and casino patrons under a new set of health and safety protocols.

Safety Measures Now in Place

In a recent Facebook post, King’s Resort detailed the following precautions to ensure a safe return:

  • Face masks are mandatory throughout the entire property.

  • Disinfection teams are in place to sanitize any spot as soon as a player vacates it.

  • Face shields will be provided to all staff and are available at reception for guests.

  • Indoor food ordering is banned. Guests must step outside—roughly 3 meters from the entrance—to order food at a designated kiosk, with outdoor tables available for dining.

  • Limited snacks and beverages such as canned drinks and sealed food bags are available inside the casino for a small fee. These restrictions are expected to be lifted after 14 days.

Poker Room Details Still Unclear

While King’s Resort has emphasized sanitation efforts, details about poker table spacing or player limits (such as 4-max formats) have not been disclosed. It’s unknown whether social distancing will be enforced at the tables or if plexiglass dividers will be used.

King’s has a strong reputation in the global poker scene, having hosted three WSOP Europe festivals in the past. It was also slated to host the upcoming fall WSOPE, though official dates have not yet been confirmed.
