Josh Reichard’s 14th WSOP Circuit Ring Ties Record

★☆☆☆☆

(User Rating 1/5)

Wisconsin’s Josh Reichard has achieved a remarkable feat by securing his 14th WSOP Circuit ring, tying him with Floridian Maurice Hawkins atop the all-time leaderboard for most Circuit ring victories. Reichard’s latest victory came in the WSOP Circuit Grand Victoria main event in Elgin, Illinois, where he took home $253,073 for his triumph.

🏆 A Historic Victory

Reichard’s win at the Grand Victoria marks a milestone in his poker career, pushing him into a tie for first place with Hawkins, both of whom have now won 14 WSOP Circuit rings. This victory also bolstered Reichard’s standing on the WSOP Circuit earnings list, where he now ranks sixth with just under $1.2 million in career earnings. Hawkins continues to lead in this category, having amassed nearly $2.2 million.

In the November 2022 Circuit debut at the Grand Victoria, Reichard fell just short of equaling Hawkins’ record, despite scoring two second-place finishes. However, his recent success in Elgin has placed him firmly in the spotlight, and he now shares the top spot on the leaderboard with Hawkins.

🗣️ Reichard’s Humble Perspective

Although Reichard has now tied the record, he remains humble about the achievement. Speaking with the WSOP’s Anthony Thompson, Reichard shared his thoughts:

“To be honest, I really don’t care too much about records, but this one is kind of cool. On your website, there are pictures of all the record holders, and Phil Hellmuth holds the bracelet title. I thought it’d be cool if my picture was next to his because we are both Wisconsin guys. I’m sure Maurice’s picture will stay on there for now, but that just keeps me motivated to get there one day.”

👑 The WSOP Circuit All-Time Leaderboard

Reichard’s recent triumph has solidified his position as one of the most successful players in the history of the WSOP Circuit. He and Hawkins now lead the charge, each with 14 rings. Daniel “Duma” Lowery (Arkansas) and Valentin Vornicu (California) sit two rings behind with 12 each.

In addition to Reichard’s victory, another Circuit veteran, Roland Israelashvili, claimed his ninth ring in a preliminary event at the Grand Victoria, tying him for tenth on the all-time list. Israelashvili also extended his own record for most Circuit cashes, now at an impressive 211.
