America’s Cardroom has announced the signing of a new Team Pro: Jose Ignacio Barbero, better known in the poker community as “Nacho”. The renowned Argentinian player will represent the site under the username “Travisrice”.
A Poker Legend
Barbero is no stranger to the poker world, having been a dominant force in the game for nearly 15 years. His breakthrough came in 2010, when he dominated the Latin American Poker Tour, securing two championships in just four months. Since then, Barbero has racked up an impressive $8.4 million in live tournament winnings, solidifying his reputation as one of the top players in the game.
A Thrilling Career
Barbero’s poker career continues to soar. He made headlines in 2022 when he won his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in Las Vegas. The victory came in the $7,000 NLH Super Turbo Bounty event, where he outlasted a field of 419 players, taking home a hefty $587,520.
But his success didn’t stop there. In March 2023, Barbero continued his winning ways at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Vietnam, where he triumphed in Event #2 — the $15K NLH 8-Max. He dominated the final table, eliminating all but one player, and walked away with $600,000.
