Top poker pros Angela Jordison and Jacki Burkhart have joined forces to send U.S. veterans to this summer’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) “Salute to Warriors” event. The duo initially pledged to cover five full packages—including buy-in, travel, and lodging—but after an overwhelming response, they’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign to send even more veterans. The campaign neared its $10,000 goal within hours of going live.
Inspired by personal ties to military service, Jordison and Burkhart are passionate about honoring veterans through poker. The first seat has already been awarded to Ryan Mitchell, a veteran from Waterloo, Iowa, with more winners to be announced soon.
