Japan’s Reiji Kono emerged victorious at the WPT Prime Cambodia Main Event, topping a massive 1,011-player field to claim the title and $131,731, which includes a $10,400 WPT World Championship seat.
Kono overcame a heads-up chip deficit after an ICM deal was made among the final three players. He flipped the script, gained control, and sealed the win with a final-hand cooler.
This marks the third straight WPT Prime event to break 1,000 entries, following Paris and Gold Coast. Next up: WPT Prime Amsterdam at Holland Casino, March 24–April 1, with the Main Event running March 28–31.
